What types of students do you teach?

All types. I love teaching beginning singers as well as professionals. I teach students between the ages of 10 and 90. And I teach voice students from any style including pop, musical theater, country, gospel, rock, folk, jazz, blue grass and classical.

Do you do vocal rehabilitation?

Yes. I know the proper tools to rehabilitate a singing voice and I have a master’s degree in nursing. If I have any suspicion that the singer has vocal cord damage, I refer them to a properly trained otolaryngologist and work with the medical doctor to rehabilitate the singer’s voice.

How many lessons do I need to master the SLS technique?

You will feel and hear improvement in your singing in the first lesson. My goal is to get you up and running as quickly as possible. I teach you the fundamentals so that your voice functions physiologically at its best. Then I teach you how to apply that voice to your style. I encourage an independent relationship where ultimately you become your own teacher. That said, each person has individual needs in their vocal training. Some voices are more difficult than others to “retrain” and take longer for the new sensory memory to stick.

Do you teach groups?

I love giving demonstrations to groups. I work with groups of 6 to 12, giving each person individual time. Groups are amazed at the improvement they hear in themselves and each other. I will work with larger groups as well, but cannot guarantee individual work with each attendee.

Can I take lessons over the internet, Skype or phone?

Absolutely. I teach people from around the world using Skype and phone. Students find Skype and internet lessons to be as effective as in-person lessons.

Can I take a single lesson or do I have to sign up for a package of lessons?

I offers both single lessons and a four pack. All four of the lessons in the package must be pre-scheduled and pre-paid. There is a 10% discount for the four pack.

What type of payment do you accept?

Paypal, cash, and checks. Lessons must be paid for in advance or at the beginning of your lesson.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. You must email me or call me 24 hours prior to the lesson to receive full credit for your payment. I will do my best to reschedule your lesson within 2 weeks.
