Gunhild Kristoffersen

Gunhild Kristoffersen, whose band is Towanda, is a fabulous songwriter, singer and pianist. "The songs are based on classically inspired piano playing and haunting redhead vocals, complimented with melodic cello lines and vibrant rhythms supplied by the bass and percussion. Themes in the lyrics range from the sarcastic and humorous to the tragic and dramatic, something that is reflected in both the music and the band’s lively performance." Check them out.

Krizia was my student at LIPA and I have mentored her through the Speech Level Singing teaching certification program. She recently passed her teacher testing and is now a Level 1 teacher.

Krizia just won the Apple Creative Contest Award for Europe. She identifies her music as Electronica / Trip-hop.

Krizia was born in 1987 in Bloomington Indiana with Italian, French and Spanish genes, and mostly grew up in Geneva. She studied music from a very early age and began by playing the piano at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. Music was a definite path in her life and led her to Liverpool where she is currently studying for a Bachelor in Music at LIPA.

Krizia says, "I began composing in 2005 and discovered the lovely world of Electronic music in December 2006. I'm still floating amongst all these electronic programs reading all the manuals and devouring them. I hope you enjoy what you hear and please feel free to comment."
